Parenting Time Support Services (PTSS) Worker Position
Join our family oriented team where you help others in Huron, Lapeer and Tuscola Counties, while building your experience in the social work and human services field. Professional Counseling Center (PCC) is offering this exciting entry level position to motivated individuals who are invested in empowering families to be strong, loving, and independent. PCC is seeking 20-30 hours per week in this role, some afternoons and evenings are required. The Parenting Time Visitation Support Services Program provides supervised parenting time for parents and children. In this program you will provide guidance for parents to increase their confidence and competence in their parenting abilities to successfully nurture their children and provide them with a healthy and safe environment. This position is ideal if you are interested in a future in social work, crisis intervention, or family education. PCC offers great opportunities for networking, education, and training.
PCC is an established provider in the community with opportunities for advancement within. This opening does offer flexible work locations, approximately 40%. This is an ideal position if you are currently furthering your education or looking for part time employment. Mileage and partial phone reimbursement is provided. Pay begins at $13/hr.
A High School diploma or GED is required. A valid driver’s license and vehicle is required, and you must pass a criminal history background review.

Substance Use Disorder Family Support Supervisor
Are you looking for a flexible supervisory position that allows you to work from home for most of the role? PCC would love to have you fill our full time supervisor role for the Substance Use Disorder program. You will be supervising staff who are working throughout the Thumb region providing clinical guidance and support. This is a hybrid position, some in office time required.
A Master’s degree is required, with a major in one of the following human services areas: social work, sociology, psychology, family ecology, consumer/community services, family studies, family and/or child development, guidance/school counseling, or counseling psychology. The following certification is also required: Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) or a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), or Certified Co-Occurring Disorder Professional (CCDP).
You will be responsible for providing clinical supervision, reviewing reports within the appropriate time frames, and case records. You will work with your staff to create a work schedule that fits your lifestyle, as this position is truly flexible! The position offers $30-33/hr depending on education and experience.

Home Based Assistant
Professional Counseling Center, P.C. has an opening for you as a part-time employee (10-15 hours per week) for our in-home/community based therapy program located in St. Clair County. In this program you will be working with kids and their families, alongside a Master Level Therapist. The program provides individual and family therapy in the client’s home and community, links clients with community resources, and assists with skills such as: coping techniques, family dynamics, communication skills, and anger management. You will be modeling appropriate behaviors in their sessions, teaching skills to child(ren) and teens, educating, and assisting the child(ren) with building self-esteem and social skills. This is your opportunity to provide support, teach essential skills, and make a difference in the lives of the families within St. Clair County.
We are looking for an energetic person with excellent people skills. You must be independent as you will structure your sessions and schedule, and you must possess good communication skills, and a sense of humor.
Hours for the position require an afternoon schedule, (i.e. 3 pm to 8 pm) Monday – Friday. You will work with your clients to create a work schedule that fits your lifestyle. No experience needed, but experience working with children is preferred. You will receive paid hands-on training.

Families First of Michigan Worker
PCC is looking for a Families First worker to work in person with families in Sanilac and St. Clair County, Michigan. Families First workers provide in-home, crisis-oriented, and appropriate intensive services to families with children at risk of out-of-home placement in St. Clair and Sanilac counties. The ideal candidate provides supportive interventions and ensures the safety and well-being of all family members, teaches a variety of skills, collaborates with service providers, and completes thorough case documentation.
