Familes First Worker
Job Summary: To provide in-home, crisis oriented, and appropriate intensive services to families with children at risk of out-of-home placement in St. Clair and Sanilac counties. The Families First Worker coordinates the delivery of services for the purpose of increasing the family’s ability to function successfully in its community. Works cooperatively with other service providers including referring staff from the Department of Health and Human Services. Maintain thorough, timely, and accurate documentation in client records.
Responsibilities and Duties: Monitors and ensures the safety and well-being of all assigned clients. Provides all necessary service referrals and/or direct services to any/all family members to meet any/all individual, family, or program goals. Documents all progress for clients. Works cooperatively with any/all service providers
Skills: Social work and human services practice skills, interpersonal skills, conflict management skills, resolutions skills, and documentation skills.
Knowledge: Strengths based family work, solution focused, skills building, child development, child welfare laws, and community resources.
Experience: Prefer one year of directly related in-home service regarding parenting, child development, or prevention services. Field experience working with children and families with multiple problems and the overall ability to relate to and engage with families is paramount.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services field, I.E. Social work, psychology, sociology, Family and Child Development, Family Services, Criminal Justice or other human services fields; unable to accept a teaching degree.
Transportation: Reliable and ongoing as required to make home visit and provide transportation as needed to families; valid un-restricted driver’s license, good driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance coverage

Family Assistance Program Worker

A Bachelor’s degree in the Human Services field along with two years of experience working with at-risk families is required to fill this position. The families we serve often need education on parenting, household management, relationship struggles, nutrition, budgeting, and other skills. You would be responsible for providing in-home case management and strength focused interventions to families in St. Clair and Sanilac Counties. Cases include recently closed or open CPS, foster care out-of-home placement with the goal of reunification, and removal prevention. You will work with your clients to create a work schedule that fits your lifestyle, as this position is truly flexible! This program is very unique offering both supervised visitation between the parent and child and education.
This role requires you to have a reliable vehicle and a license (mileage reimbursement monthly), flexibility in scheduling, and availability to work occasional evening hours. In this position you could complete roughly 50% of your work remotely and would be eligible for many competitive benefits. The position starts at $15-17/hr, depending on education and experience. Substance Use Disorder Family Support Supervisor
Are you looking for a flexible supervisory position that allows you to work from home for most of the role? PCC would love to have you fill our part time supervisor role for the Substance Use Disorder program. You will be supervising staff who are working throughout the Thumb region providing clinical guidance and support.
A Master’s degree is required, with a major in one of the following human services areas: social work, sociology, psychology, family ecology, consumer/community services, family studies, family and/or child development, guidance/school counseling, counseling psychology, or criminal justice. The following certifications are also required: Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) or a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), or Certified Co-Occurring Disorder Professional (CCDP), in addition to gaining a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) certification, all offered through the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) approved development plan.
You will be responsible for providing clinical supervision, reviewing reports within the appropriate time frames, and case records. You will work with your staff to create a work schedule that fits your lifestyle, as this position is truly flexible!
The position offers $30-33/hr depending on education and experience and will be approximately 10-15 hours per week, or more if desired.

This position offers the ability to do some work from home. $15-17/hr offered, depending on education and experience, along with monthly mileage reimbursement and phone reimbursement.
